Man Airlifted With Chemical Burns After Battery Explodes In Hunterdon County [Developing]

A man was airlifted with chemical burns and lacerations after a battery exploded in Hunterdon County Monday afternoon, developing reports say.

The explosion occurred on the 200 block of Harrison Street in Frenchtown around 2:50 p.m., according to initial and unconfirmed reports.

The man was airlifted to a local hospital with chemical burns and multiple lacerations and may have suffered airway burns, the report says.

Frenchtown Police did not immediately respond to Daily Voice’s request for details.
